According to the customs import and export data compiled by the China Automobile Industry Association, the export value of China's automobile products continued to maintain a small growth in 2014, with a cumulative export value of US $84.314 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.08%. Among them, the export value of auto parts was 64.617 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.02% year-on-year, with a slight slowdown compared to the previous year; It accounted for 76.64% of the total export volume of automotive products, with a share increase of 0.36 percentage points compared to the previous year. The proportion of exports of complete vehicles is only 15.23%, far lower than the proportion of exports of spare parts. Overall, the export situation of auto parts in 2014 was good. The export of spare parts has become the main factor driving the growth of automobile commodity exports. The export value of four major categories of automotive parts and components (engines, automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle bodies, automobiles, motorcycle tires, and other automotive related products) increased compared to the previous year, with a total of 3.6622 million engines exported, an increase of 10.56% compared to the previous year; The export value was 1.68 billion US dollars, up 6.69% year-on-year; The export value of auto parts, accessories, and vehicle bodies reached US $35.359 billion, an increase of 11.96% year-on-year, with a significant increase compared to the previous year; The growth of the export value of automobiles, motorcycle tires, and other automotive related commodities slowed down compared to the previous year, with exports of $15.151 billion and $12.427 billion respectively, up 1.83% and 5.43% year-on-year.
Based on the export data from January to December 2014, among the four major categories of automotive parts and components, the export value of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle bodies still accounts for half of the total. Overall, the product structure of exports has not changed significantly, and the added value of exported products has not increased significantly.
In addition, based on the performance of the seven major component export categories (electronically controlled fuel injection devices, vehicle bodies, seat belts, airbag devices, transmissions, drive axles, and shock absorbers) sorted by the China Automobile Association, there has been a significant decline in electronically controlled fuel injection devices, with exports totaling 3.128 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 69.92%. The other six categories showed a certain growth, with the export value of seat belts, drive axles, and shock absorbers achieving a double-digit growth year on year, with an overall outstanding performance. The remaining three categories achieved a small increase.
